Cristina was born in Manila, the Philippines, and spent a few years in Hong Kong before returning to the homeland at the age of 6. Her back and forth between two very different homes (along with her steady diet of American and British comedies) inspired her love for mimicry and silly voices. She grew up in an artistic family, but only decided to become an actor at the age of 13, when she saw Jude Law in “The Holiday” and figured they’d meet on a Hollywood film set and live happily ever after. Though she no longer wishes to be “Mrs. Law”, Her passion for performing and making people laugh remains as strong as ever.
She appeared in multiple theatre productions and student films in Manila until 2015, when was accepted into Circle in the Square’s prestigious Acting Conservatory. She arrived in the Big Apple and spent two crazy years learning about the craft and herself. She made her professional NYC theatre debut in Eastern Bridge Theater Troupe’s Strings, and has been appearing in theatre productions all over NYC ever since. Cristina loves to collaborate on new work with like-minded artists. She hopes to create work that challenges stereotypes and to find new and exciting ways to tell her story, and the stories of others who have yet to find their voice.
Besides performing, Cristina loves writing, travelling, teaching, eating delicious food, and exploring the amazing city that she now calls home.
